"Yoga is never an end, but a tool that allows me to connect with my inner world," says Francesca, who approaches yoga as a tool for spiritual growth and expansion. Her philosophy is based on the idea that well-being is a personal and unique journey for each of us. Her sessions are designed to release emotional and energetic blocks, stimulate personal growth, and promote greater self-awareness. Francesca is excited to share her passion for well-being with all participants at the Limbo Festival: "On the mat begins a true journey where we not only find ourselves, but also the connection with everything that surrounds us."

Carlos Ponte is a seasoned IT professional with decades of experience, now channelling his passion for holistic wellness into the practice of Shinrin-Yoku, or forest therapy. Carlos is a global citizen with Italian roots, born in Argentina, and has embraced life in Canada and Europe. Nature has always been a cornerstone of his life, from his childhood in a vineyard in Argentina to his current home in Barga, Italy. Carlos’s deep connection with forests spans continents from ancient eucalyptus trees in Argentina to maple, birch, and conifers in Canada, and now the beech, chestnut, linden, and fir trees in Europe. His natural affinity for trees was further enriched by studying Shinrin-Yoku techniques in England, Germany, and Japan. Inspired by his mentor, Dr Yoshifumi Miyazaki, and over three decades of research on forest therapy, Carlos developed a comprehensive program promoting the mental and physical health benefits of this practice. As a co-founder of Universe Mindfulness with his wife Emma, Carlos offers wellness retreats throughout Europe, focusing on Mindfulness in Nature. Their mission is to guide individuals to reconnect with nature in a deeper, more healing manner. Carlos is honoured to be an ambassador for Limbofestival.it at Il Ciocco resort. He will lead transformative forest therapy sessions and share his insights in a dedicated talk, guiding participants on a journey of healing and self-discovery through the power of nature.
Emma Wisser is a certified MBSR trainer (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction) and a trained teacher for Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC). For the past 20 years, she has taught mindfulness and self-compassion courses, coached individuals, and ran workshops in her own practice in Munich, Germany, as well as at various public organizations and private corporations. In 2018, along with Carlos, she became a certified Shinrin Yoku practitioner in England, and later at the University of Munich in Germany. She is a co-designer and practitioner of our Shinrin-yoku (Forest Therapy) program in Europe. Emma is the author of the course program “Nature-Based Mindfulness,” which brings together the practice of mindfulness and a deep connection to nature. She has been teaching this program for several years, observing the beneficial and healing influence of nature connection on the overall well-being of the participants as well as on the deepening of their mindfulness practice. In a world that has alienated and separated human beings from nature and now suffers the consequences, it is Emma’s wish and aim to help people reconnect with nature on a deeper level— because it is our home. Recognizing nature as part of us helps us find a true understanding of who we, as humans, really are, and therefore find a more meaningful, fulfilled, and peaceful way of living.
Forest Bathing – A Holistic Experience in Nature
Overview
Forest bathing or forest immersion, also known as Shinrin-yoku in Japan, has been scientifically proven to reduce stress, strengthen the immune system, and promote overall well-being. During a forest bathing session, participants are guided at a slow pace through the forest, stopping at various locations along the trail to mindfully connect with nature through the senses. Our guided tour features sensory practices, developed by Emma and me, tried and tested by hundreds of participants, which enhance the forest immersion experience and help the participants achieve a deep and meaningful connection with the natural world, and with themselves. The techniques we teach are specifically designed to prime the body and mind, allowing participants to fully receive the healing benefits of the woods. These forest bathing methods serve as lasting takeaways, empowering individuals to incorporate them into their own future nature walks. Carlos and Emma are experienced mindfulness and forest therapy guides, having received training in England at Nature & Therapy UK, in Germany at University of Munich and in Japan, with multiple private sessions throughout Nagano Prefecture where Shinrin yoku started many decades ago.
My name is Erica, but due to a play on sounds, the nickname Rirri was born. I worked for 12 years as a lawyer in major law firms in Milan, until I realized that my life was not heading in the right direction. My body also showed clear signs of discomfort, I felt lost, overwhelmed by fears, anxieties, and dissatisfaction. But it was precisely at that moment of difficulty that I discovered kundalini yoga. Thanks to this transformative practice, I found the strength to heal my inner wounds, rewrite my story, and live authentically and in harmony with myself. Today, I continue to work as a lawyer, but outside the law firm, and I teach yoga consistently, following the Very Prosperity Club community that I created, where I share my yogic experience with anyone looking for a path to align with their truest and most prosperous version. In addition to kundalini yoga, I teach various techniques for which I have completed the related training, such as the SAH METHOD, which will be one of the classes I conduct during this retreat on the first chakra.
The SAH Method™ is an innovative practice that allows you to free yourself from emotional baggage, process trauma, and build resilience through a combination of different experiences: ecstatic dance, breathwork, vocal release, and dynamic meditation. Its goal is to help you experience your authenticity and creativity. Through this practice, we choose to let go of the stories of the mind and reconnect with the sensations of our body. It’s a journey back to the body. All of our personal chaos stems from our inability to be with the sensations of discomfort in the body. Our painful memories are tied to deep-rooted feelings. Traditional therapeutic methods use a top-down approach, where the mind is the entry point to resolve our past and the emotions associated with it. However, this often requires mentally revisiting traumatic or painful experiences. The SAH METHOD uses a bottom-up approach, where the body is the entry point to healing. It addresses the emotional baggage present in our bodies, rather than the thoughts or specific memories linked to it in our minds. You will learn to master the art of BEING IN YOUR BODY. True healing is a miracle that happens ONLY when we are in the body. With the SAH Method, you will learn to “let go of the stories of the mind and be in the sensations,” offering a safe space and guidance to call up, process, and release the emotions stored in the body, without reconnecting to the narrative or memory associated with those sensations. By removing the emotional charge of the story, you strip traumatic memories of their power… and transfer that power to YOURSELF!
After his career in the business and hospitality sector worldwide, Samarpan discovered a passion for holistic healing traditions starting in 2015. This includes Traditional Chinese Medicine and Reiki, which eventually led him on the path of Yoga. Samarpan traveled to India, attending his first 100-hour Meditation course and subsequently a 200-hour YTT course in Traditional Himalayan Hatha Yoga at the Patanjali Yoga Foundation. After a profound personal experience, he decided to dedicate himself to teaching and continuous exploration through the study of ancient self-discovery practices such as Asana, Breathing, and Meditation. Currently, he teaches yoga in Italy and worldwide, and since 2020, he has begun conducting private and group sessions as well as healing retreats.

I'm Anna, Italian Shiatsu therapist with a degree in Psychology. I have been living in Sinai for five years, where I work as therapist both in person and online and organize healing adventures retreats. My work focuses on helping individuals reconnect with their original nature. The techniques I share combine elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Japanese medicine, ostheopatic techniques, fascia release and Western psychology. All of these practices I have deeply experienced within myself and along my path I have deepend my knowledge and selected them as the most effective resourses to navigate this complex beauty that we are.
Seiki-Shiatsu Treatment
The bodywork I offer comes from a professional education in Zen Shiatsu and Traditional Chinese Medicine, influenced by fascia release, ostheopatic techniques and Ampuku, a Japanese abdominal acupressure. Over the years, it has evolved into what can be framed as Seiki, translated from Japanese as "technique for working with life energy". During a session your body's inner wisdom takes the lead, allowing a range of experiences, from involontary movements and emotional releases to moments of insight and profound stillness. Throughout this experience of connection, a safe ground is established, thus gently encouraging your system to process deep-seated imprints and release what is no longer needed. While the experience of a session is unique for everyone, most people often report signs of a regulated nervous system and express a sense of coming back to themselves.
Guided Dreams
In a guided dream we will explore the connection between the mind, unconscious mind, and the body. You’ll be guided into a deep state of relaxation, where you will enter the hypnagogic state, the magical twilight between wakefulness and sleep. In this state, your mind is awake but more open to the subtle messages of your subconscious. As you relax, I will lead you into a landscape that will be filled by your own symbols and metaphors.
The dream will appear on the screen of your mind, and you may experience it with other senses as well. A corner of your mind is still observing, allowing you to gain profound insights and a deeper connection with your true self. At the end of the journey, you'll be invited to jot down your experiences, and a sharing circle will bring us back together to voice our dreams and celebrate the complex magic of our inner worlds.
The unconscious mind holds deep-seated memories, emotions, and desires that influence your perceptions and automatic behaviors, often beyond conscious awareness.
When the conscious mind integrates these unconscious elements, true healing and spiritual growth can unfold. The integration of the mind with the unconscious leads to greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and the ability to make intentional choices, instead of being led by automatic, unconscious patterns. This practice is the culmination of my studies of Yoga Nidra, the meditative heart of yoga, and somatic psychology.
